Book Review – Norah’s Ark by Victoria Williamson

The innocence of childhood is unrivalled in sparking joy in all our hearts. Norah’s Ark shows the lives of two children who whilst leading diametrically opposite lives, are very much alike.

Norah is a girl who does not have a mother. She lives with her father, moving all around the place. She has a soft spot for animals. Adam is boy who has a both parents, lives in a posh house, has a home tutor, and as a cancer survivor he goes through life with a lot of restrictions.

Norah finds friends in a bunch of baby birds. One day while she goes to find them, they are gone. Only, Norah discovers that Adam has them in his yard. Adam accidentally discovers the baby birds and is overjoyed with his discovery. An unlikely friendship blossoms thereon. Adam and Norah become each other’s confidantes. They begin to see life from different perspectives and help each other navigate their situations in life.

Norah’s Ark is a feel good book. It has an adorable aura to it with Norah and Adam and the perspective of childhood innocence. Well written and adeptly edited, Norah’s Ark makes for an unputdownable read that leaves the reader with fond memories.

Definitely recommend!
